Westphal Picture Gallery

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

The Westphal Picture Gallery is an historic part of Drexel University’s campus and houses much of the university’s permanent art collection. In keeping with its Victorian roots, the gilded, coffered ceiling was returned to its original details, the original pendant light system restored, the red, fabric-covered walls and the glass paneled wooden doors replaced. New mechanical, electrical, fire safety, and audio/visual systems were seamlessly integrated into the design through the use of concealed chases augmented by custom millwork and cabinetry.
