The second building of the original Temple University, College Hall was designed in 1892 by Thomas Lonsdale as a complementary addition to the Baptist Temple next door and was connected to it by a second story bridge. A designated Historic building, College Hall had been subjected to a major fire, several renovations and severe neglect. In preparation for a new use, VMA restored the entirety of the building envelope with a new roof, gutters and flashing, and masonry and window restoration, complying with Philadelphia Historical Commission requirements.
