Stewardship of the environment is one of Millbrook’s key missions and a central concept in their science curriculum. The new LEED certified structure will house four teaching labs, advanced study rooms, and six technologically advanced math classrooms. Its location on the campus has been selected for proximity to their Zoo, and the orientation is such to take maximum advantage of passive solar gain. Pure geometries and sine curves meld with the traditional building forms to make a building that is at once innovative and supportive of the campus architecture.
