The floor-to-ceiling windows of this new meeting house capture majestic views of the neighboring Alapocas woods invoking a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere. Clerestory windows and small gable end windows tucked away in the network of trusses at the ceiling line illuminate the space from above reflecting the Quaker belief in the “inner light” that resides in all individuals. Orderly rows of maple benches situated in a U-shape face the center of this room, reinforcing a sense of community and collective spirituality that makes this space uniquely suited for Quaker worship.
