Alumni Center,
Drexel University

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

We completed a comprehensive rehabilitation of the historic Centennial Bank building originally designed by Frank Furness to bring it to its current incarnation as the Paul Peck Alumni Center. This project entailed the custom replacement and repair of architectural elements heavily damaged over the course of nearly a decade that the building was unoccupied and accommodating a new use into the building. The original, top lit, Furness office space, with its three windowless walls is now an art gallery to house the university’s permanent collection. A new, two-story addition provides office space for the Alumni Relations department and, most importantly, provides the daily presence which gives life to a building.
