Bryn Mawr Film Institute

Completed in March 2006, Phase I of the renovations to the historic Bryn Mawr Theater consisted of renovating the theater, redesigning the main lobby, designing a new, historically–inspired marquee and converting an existing 700 sf retail space adjacent to the film institute into a coffee shop reminiscent of a Hollywood soundstage. Phase II, completed in 2009, included restoring the building’s grand entrance arcade and expanding operations into the previously unoccupied second floor. The final phase of renovations will include construction of a third theater and the reconfiguration of the existing two theaters to create spaces that better fit the Institute’s needs.
