Originally designed by James Gamble Rogers, this historic club features a full range of amenities including a fitness center, squash courts, weight rooms, dining venues, banqueting facilities, lounges, and ten floors of guest rooms. Designs draw upon the contemporary, classic collegiate gothic styles, while the color palette draws upon the Yale blue, balanced with neutrals and the Yale logo. Amenities were added to guest rooms, and many bathrooms gutted and converted. Storage and layout spaces were improved to make the relatively small square footage feel much more open, comfortable, and airy in a sophisticated atmosphere. The floors have also been brought up to modern standards for life safety, temperature control, and ADA compliance.
